Help Us Deliver a Secure and Trusted Workforce

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Vetting Administrator to join our Security & Resilience team in Leeds.

Working closely with the Group Vetting Officer, you'll manage routine vetting activity from initial request through to completion, taking ownership of cases, maintaining accurate records and ensuring applications progress efficiently.

Acting as a key point of contact for employees, managers, HR teams and external stakeholders, you'll help ensure all vetting activity is completed accurately, professionally and in line with established processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing routine vetting cases from application through to completion.
  • Supporting UK Security Vetting activities, including renewals, transfers, lapses and aftercare.
  • Maintaining accurate personnel security records and monitoring clearance expiry dates.
  • Responding to vetting queries and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying and resolving routine issues while escalating more complex matters appropriately.
  • Supporting reporting, audit requirements and continuous improvement activities.

About You

You'll be someone who takes ownership of your work, has exceptional attention to detail and enjoys working within a structured and process-driven environment. You'll be comfortable handling confidential information, building positive working relationships and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Strong administration, organisation and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage workloads independently and proactively.
  • Experience working with sensitive information and maintaining accurate records.
  • A customer-focused approach and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Previous experience within vetting, personnel security, screening, compliance, onboarding or a similar administrative role would be advantageous. Knowledge of BPSS and UK Government Security Vetting processes would also be beneficial, although not essential.
