Site Engineer

Location: Denham, Buckinghamshire – Site Based

Summary

We have an opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to join our team at NG Bailey, working on a large and complex MEP infrastructure project based in Denham, Buckinghamshire.

This is a site-based role with responsibility for supporting the safe and effective delivery of MEP works, coordinating site activities and ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Working closely with our Project Management, Engineering and Construction teams, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of works on site, providing clear direction to the workforce and ensuring any issues or constraints are identified and addressed.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Managing and coordinating day-to-day MEP activities within your designated area of the project.

• Supervising and supporting the frontline workforce and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.

• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, RAMS and NG Bailey standards.

• Coordinating labour, materials, plant, access and site requirements to maintain productivity.

• Supporting the development and delivery of the project programme and monitoring progress against agreed milestones.

• Identifying potential delays, constraints and variations and communicating these to the wider project team.

• Maintaining accurate site records and providing clear progress information to Project Management.

• Working closely with the Quality team to ensure installations are inspected, recorded and defects closed out promptly.

• Ensuring high standards of health & safety are maintained across all activities within your area.

• Coordinating with other disciplines, subcontractors and the wider construction team to ensure works are effectively sequenced.

• Supporting project completion, commissioning, handover and close-out activities.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience within building services / MEP construction.

• Previous experience in a Site Engineer, Site Supervisor or similar site-based MEP delivery role.

• A good technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services installations.

• Experience coordinating site-based workforces and subcontractors.

• Good understanding of construction programmes, drawings, specifications and RAMS.

• Strong awareness of health & safety and quality requirements within a construction environment.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• An industry-recognised trade or professional qualification.

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or technically complex projects would be advantageous.
