M&E Project Manager

Location: Yorkshire Area
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced M&E Project Manager to join NG Bailey Facilities Services as part of our Facilities & Infrastructure Services Projects Team.

Reporting into the Projects leadership team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple M&E projects ranging from £10,000 to £3 million, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal support functions, you will manage projects from initial survey and tender stage through to successful handover and completion. You will play a key role in maintaining profitability, strengthening customer relationships, and driving operational excellence across a diverse project portfolio. 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Managing multiple M&E projects of varying size and complexity, valued between £10,000 and £3 million.
• Developing and overseeing project delivery plans to ensure works are completed in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Leading projects through all relevant RIBA stages, from initial brief and planning through to handover and close out.
• Taking ownership of SHEQ compliance and promoting a strong safety-first culture across all project activities.
• Managing stakeholder engagement, procurement activities, subcontractor appointments and project programmes.
• Reviewing and approving RAMS and ensuring robust compliance with statutory and client requirements.
• Providing technical leadership and expertise across M&E disciplines, including acting as Principal Contractor when required.
• Surveying future works opportunities and producing competitive tender submissions.
• Supporting bid teams and delivering presentations to prospective clients.
• Setting clear objectives and performance expectations for delivery teams to achieve operational excellence.

What we're looking for:

• Industry-recognised trade or professional qualification.
• Proven experience successfully managing multiple M&E projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, forms of contract and CDM regulations.
• Knowledge and practical application of RIBA project stages.
• Experience managing direct labour, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver profitable project outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports, project documentation and tender submissions.

What will make you stand out?

• PRINCE2 and/or PMI (Project Management Institute) qualifications.
• Experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or M&E contracting environments.
• Proven experience acting as Principal Contractor on client projects.
• Strong track record of developing long-term client relationships and securing repeat business.
• Experience supporting major bids and project mobilisation activities.
• Demonstrable success in delivering projects safely, efficiently and profitably.
