Temporary Works Package Manager
Location: Denham
Contract: FTC – 1 Year
Salary + Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits
SummaryWe have an opportunity for a Temporary Works Package Manager to join our Engineering team at NG Bailey, working on a large and complex MEP infrastructure project based in Denham.
This is a white-collar project management role, responsible for overseeing and coordinating a number of smaller temporary works and enabling works packages across the project.
Rather than directly delivering the works, you will provide the management, coordination and oversight needed to ensure packages are properly planned, designed, approved and safely delivered by our specialist subcontractors.
The packages will include areas such as temporary works, scaffolding/access solutions and lifting operations, working closely with our construction, engineering, logistics and MEP teams to ensure requirements are coordinated with the wider programme.
Key responsibilitiesYou will:
-
Manage and coordinate a portfolio of temporary works and smaller works packages across the project.
-
Provide oversight of specialist subcontractors, ensuring packages are planned and delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
-
Coordinate temporary works requirements between construction, engineering, MEP, logistics, designers and subcontractors.
-
Oversee temporary works from initial requirement through design, review, approval and site implementation.
-
Support the management and coordination of lifting operations, scaffolding and access requirements across the project.
-
Ensure appropriate temporary works procedures, controls and registers are maintained.
-
Coordinate designs, RAMS, approvals and sequencing with the relevant project teams.
-
Identify programme, interface and delivery risks and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
-
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, project procedures and health and safety requirements.
We’re looking for an experienced Temporary Works Manager, Package Manager or Project Manager who is comfortable managing multiple work packages within a complex construction or engineering environment.
You do not need to come from a scaffolding trade background. We are looking for someone with strong project and package management capability who understands how to coordinate specialist works and subcontractors.
Ideally, you will have:
-
Experience managing temporary works on major projects.
-
Strong package management and subcontractor management experience.
-
Experience coordinating works across multiple disciplines and project stakeholders.
-
A good understanding of temporary works processes, including design, approvals and implementation.
-
Knowledge or experience of lifting operations and scaffolding/access packages would be advantageous.
-
An understanding of BS 5975 and temporary works management principles.
-
Strong planning, coordination and communication skills.
-
Experience within major infrastructure, construction, rail, MEP or similarly complex project environments.
Experience or competency as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) and/or Appointed Person (AP) would be beneficial.
