Mobile Air Conditioning Supervisor

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Supervisor to support the growth of our self-delivery Air Conditioning division across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong leader to take ownership of safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery while helping to develop and expand our in-house capability.

The role combines hands-on technical support with operational leadership, team development, client engagement and support for business growth. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, quoted works and small projects, while supporting technicians with complex fault finding, compliance and quality assurance.

Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will help drive service excellence, strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow the Air Conditioning offering across existing and new clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the growth and development of the Air Conditioning self-delivery service across the region
  • Provide technical support, mentoring and quality assurance to Engineers
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, FM teams and service partners
  • Ensure accurate management of jobs, service records and reporting through CAFM systems
  • Promote high standards of Health & Safety, compliance and safe systems of work
  • Support quotations, technical solutions and delivery of reactive works and small projects
  • Assist with complex fault finding and critical reactive maintenance when required
  • Contribute to team development, recruitment support and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing and new client accounts

 

What we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in Air Conditioning service delivery within commercial environments
  • Proven knowledge of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and minor works on split, multi-split and VRF/VRV systems
  • Experience supporting or supervising Engineers and subcontractors
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, F-Gas compliance, RAMS and permit-to-work systems
  • Experience using CAFM or service management systems
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to support quotations and identify opportunities
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • F-Gas Category 1 qualification or equivalent essential

Desirable

  • Supervisory or team leadership experience within a mobile service environment
  • IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
  • Experience with chillers and larger HVAC systems
  • Electrical or advanced diagnostic experience
  • Knowledge of TM44 and wider energy efficiency services
