We have an exciting new opportunity for an M&E Quality Control Manager to join our Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) team based in Oakenshaw. We would welcome applicants with experience in construction, engineering or production.
In this role you will manage all aspects of Quality Control (QC) within the designated facility to ensure that projects / products meet specifications and regulatory standards. You will act as a QC subject matter expert in your area of specialism (i.e. mechanical, electrical or welding) across all OSM facilities and provide leadership and management for the Quality Control team in the facility.
This is a permanent staff position with NG Bailey.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- · Provide Health and Safety leadership, ensuring that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities.
- · Manage performance, training, qualifications and competency of the QC team.
- · Manage planning, implementation and delivery of a robust QC strategy in the facility.
- · Establish and maintain relationships internally and externally.
- · Work with the OSM Win and Plan teams to create and implement ITPs for each project in the facility. Manage completion of QC documents.
- · Manage the control of monitoring and measuring equipment for the facility.
- · Ensure compliance with client requirements, specifications and standards to maintain quality standards and integrity of products.
- · Manage compliance with company policies, processes and procedures.
- · Manage non-conformity reports (NCRs) for the facility.
- · Provide support when required with supply chain audits (i.e. subject matter expert) and supply chain defect investigations.
- · Contribute to business performance and quality improvement including QC training and guidance and develop and provide reporting including Cost of Quality for the facility for Senior Management.
What we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- · Significant experience managing QC inspections.
- · Experience in the use of QC inspection systems.
- · Relevant working experience in a mechanical / electrical field.
Qualifications or professional memberships:
· CQI Membership (Practitioner or Member). Desirable / willing to work towards
· IOSH Managing Safely (desirable / prepared to undertake)
